I really need to improve my picture taking skills. Many of the closeups are fuzzy and the long shots don't seem to capture what I want to share. Put that on my to-do list.
Here are a few more pics of spring in my garden.
The side front by the driveway. A lone Blackfoot daisy is peeking out from under the bluebonnets at the lower right. |
This plant is a date palm grown by me from a seed from a box of Costco Medjool dates. About 5 years old. |
My favorite knock-out rose, the Rainbow is hard to find. Sorry for the blurry pic. |
David Austin rose, name lost. |
More bluebonnets, sharing with the neighbor's yard. |
Belinda's Dream |
The variegated lemon is loaded with buds and blooms.. |
This, folks, is a peony!!! In Central Texas believe it or not. I have about 4 buds. Picked up the bare root plant at Home Depot a few years ago. |
There are 2 surprises in this field but they are hard to see in this pic. |
The first surprise, a lone red poppy. |
The second surprise, a lone golden California poppy. |
These last few pictures are some samples of the 'work' I need to do. It is really not work to me. I love every minute I spend in my garden and look forward to this 'work'. What in the world would I do if my garden did not need 'work'?
The long granite pathway on the west side. |
The 'needs mowing' area around the bench in back. |
The pathways in my kitchen garden. BUT I just can't pull up the bluebonnets, can I. |
Need to clean out, organize, and add new flooring to the greenhouse. I stole some of the bricks to use in the re-build of my mailbox that got demolished a few months ago. |
Love the Bluebonnets.
ReplyDeleteAnd, very impressed with a date palm from a box. Way to go!
