Sea of Blue

The Bluebonnets are out in full force.

The redbud in full bloom.

A single California poppy bud.  I threw out lots of seeds.  This was the only survivor!

Too bad this is so blurry.  It is a Peony bud.  Amazing.

SPRING

Bluebonnets are solid covering the ground along the driveway.

My front lawn is somewhere under this carpet of bluebonnets.

Yellow jasmine blooming with blooming pear trees behind the fence.

My cute little redbud.

The herb bed.

Lettuces and newly planted tomato plants.

Pepper plants.

The back 'forty'.  There is a fire pit out there somewhere.

This blooming Agarita smells like honey.  Mmmmm.

A newly planted almond tree.  Not sure how it will do here in Central Texas.

The citrus spent the winter in the greenhouse.  they are leafing out now.

My first iris bloom.

The orchard.

Newly planted little apple tree I want to espalier.

The orchard from the other end.

Four Bags Full

Well I've been busy pruning and weeding.  There are about 2 more weeks of weeding needed.  BUT a cold front moved in so I'm going back into hibernation.

Ready for trash day.

This area filled 2 bags with weeds.

Obviously I haven't tacked this area yet.  So many bluebonnets mixed in with that awful clover type weed.

The quince is still blooming.  So pretty this year.

More blooms on the primrose jasmine every day.

The first bluebonnet!
